Active Parents

Active Parents is a new and exciting programme for parents of school-going children.  Studies prove that parents behaviour is a major influence on children’s physical activity levels therefore active parents = active children

The programme initiative is a three way partnership between Meath LSP, Schools and Parents and provides parents with a choice of new and exciting ways of achieving physical fitness. The 6-week Activity Programme takes place just after school drop off time on school grounds and can  follow with a cup of tea and time for a chat allowing parents to foster new friendships. The new initiative also aims to promote positive relationships between schools and families and increase school retention rates. A range of activities are on offer and include: Dance, Pilates, Kickboxing, Circuit Training, 0-3k Running and Yoga.
