Olympic Handball has gained huge popularity in recent years and this year, Meath LSP & Irish Olympic Handball Association (IOHA) are working together and have introduced a new Meath Handball Schools League for primary schools in Meath. Together we are working to increase participation rates in the sport of Olympic Handball and increase opportunities for children to experience new activities.
This programme is available to all primary and secondary schools in Meath who would like to incorporate Olympic Handball as part of their school sports curriculum.

Primary & Secondary Schools Olympic Handball
In September 2023 Meath LSP and Irish Olympic Handball Association (IOHA) collaborated to establish a new handball league for schools in Meath. This is the first time Meath primary and secondary school can take part in local competitions and progress to the IOHA provincial and national finals. In December over 450 primary school students took part in the first-round competitions where the winners progress to the county final. Thanks to Bohermeen Community Centre and Wilkinstown Community Centre for the use of their facilities.
