Inclusive Cycling Hub Park Beo Wilkinstown

The Inclusive Cycling Hub located at Park Beo Greenway Hub in Wilkinstown is supported by the Sport Ireland Dormant Accounts Fund under the Sports Inclusion Disability Projects (SIDP) and provides a number of adapted bikes for people with a disability free of charge. The Boyne Valley to Lakelands Greenway is a 30km stretch for walkers & cyclists along the route of the old railway line from Navan in Co. Meath to Kingscourt in Co. Cavan.

Children Upright Handcycle – Topend Li’l Excelerator. The Handcycle is upright seat and suitable for children or small adults with a physical disability. The handcycle is propelled by the arms.

• The wheelchair may be collected from the Feel Good Bicycles shop located at Park Beo Greenway Hub Wilkinstown once booked
• Pre-booking of the Handcycle is essential, bikes will not be available unless booked in advance
• The Handcycle is available between 10am-5pm Tuesday – Sunday

Tandem Bike Duratec Big Bang R9. Tandem cycling lets two riders’ cycle together and consists of a sighted pilot at the front who communicates what’s ahead to the person with vision impairment in the rear seat. Both riders pedal while the pilot in the front also steers.

Wheelchair Platform Bike – Van Raam Velo Plus 3 is an innovative tricycle that lets a passenger stay seated in their own wheelchair while riding. The driver tilts the back platform and rolls the wheelchair up the ramp. It has a very low centre of gravity for stability.

The Van Raam Midi is a medium size tricycle, suitable for older children and smaller adults. It is a smooth-running three-wheeler. You can easily mount and ride with this smooth-running tricycle. Designed to allow people who are unable to ride standard bicycles a sense of freedom and safety. The low step-over height frame makes mounting and dismounting easier for the rider.
