We are delighted to announce that on 28th August 2026 applications open for the new
Meath Outdoors Club Development Grant scheme
Meath Outdoors focuses on participation in outdoor recreation activities in the natural environment, such as walking, canoeing, orienteering, angling and open-water swimming.
The scheme comprises of 2 grants for clubs, organisations and groups operating in the outdoor recreation space. This will help clubs to grow sustainable, inclusive and quality sporting opportunities by funding equipment and training that increase participation in sport and physical activity in the outdoors. The application process will remain open until: Thursday 17th September at 4:00pm.
Equipment Grant | €1,000 for equipment
This equipment grant is designed to support clubs and organisations in purchasing additional equipment required for their regular club activity or to assist in increasing participation in physical activity
Training Grant | €1,000 for training
This training grant is available for clubs/organisations to avail of additional training to build their capacity to deliver better outcomes for their members and to develop their activities for greater participation

Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
