Walking Leader Training Level 1

The walking leader training coordinated nationally by the Irish Heart Foundation is supported locally through Meath LSP and is provided to build the capacity of people who wish to promote walking in their own community or workplace. The course content includes advice on areas such as planning walking sessions, health and safety issues, leadership skills and techniques, starting your own walking group and practical sessions and a follow up four week walking challenge.

The next course will take place on Saturday 25th November from 9am – 5pm in Trim Castle Hotel.

Community Walking Programme

A number of areas will roll out a FREE 6 week walking programme in their community starting this September.

Programmes are suitable for all ages and abilities. Don’t worry if you miss a week, come along the week after.
