Meath LSP Opens Applications for National Bike Week Local Funding
Meath Local Sports Partnership (Meath LSP) is encouraging clubs, community groups and schools across the county to apply for local funding to support events and initiatives as part of National Bike Week 2026, which takes place from 9-17 May.
National Bike Week is a nationwide celebration of cycling, aimed at encouraging people of all ages and abilities to get out and enjoy the benefits of cycling in a fun, safe and inclusive way. To support local participation, funding of up to €500 per project is available from Meath LSP to help groups deliver Bike Week related activities within their communities.
Funding can be used to support a wide range of cycling initiatives, including family cycle events, school-based activities, bike maintenance workshops, inclusive cycling sessions, and programmes that encourage new or lapsed cyclists to get back on their bikes.
Meath LSP is inviting eligible organisations to submit an application outlining how they plan to support National Bike Week activities locally. Successful projects will demonstrate how their event promotes participation in cycling and contributes to healthier, more active communities across Meath.
The closing date for applications is Friday, 27th March at 4pm, and late applications will not be accepted. Applicants are advised to begin the process early, as funding is limited.
