Social Cycle – Women in Sport Week

Womens Social Cycle on the Greenwway

Come and join us for a social cycle on the Boyne to Lakelands Greenway to celebrate Women in Sport Week. Starting in Park Beo Greenway Hub in Wilkinstown, the first part will bring us to Nobber with the choice of then continuing to Whitewood Lake in Kilmainhamwood. This is a fabulous opportunity to cycle along the scenic surrounding of the greenway in a relaxed and comfortable environment led by qualified bike ride leaders. Finishing with a coffee and chat back at Park Beo. All participants receive a puncture repair kit.

Women on Wheels – Available again in 2026 – dates tbc

Women on Wheels is a programme aimed at women of all ages 18+ who would like to improve their biking skills and techniques.  The 4-week programme includes Bike Maintenance, Bike Safety, Bike Handling Skills and learning to cycle as part of a group. There will also be weekly bike spins between 10k + to increase stamina and bike fitness.

The Women on Wheels Programme is a 4 week programme – new 2026 dates to be confirmed. Contact Lisa at lodowd@meathcoco.ie

The Women on Wheels programme is an ideal starting point to help build confidence, increase cycling fitness while meeting others for a social cycle. This programme is suitable for people who can cycle and would like to improve their technique and cycling fitness. Participants must have their helmet and bike in a road worthy condition.
