Men on the Move

Are you aged 30 and over, male and not very physically active? Do you want to feel fitter, have fun, have more energy, and meet new people? If you do why not get involved in the Men on the Move in Meath.

The aim of the Men on the Move Project is to get men aged 30+ to become more physically active and improve fitness levels in a fun environment. You don’t need to be fit to take part- the training sessions are structured so that you can find the level appropriate for you to join and progress your fitness at a pace to suit you.


Pictured above is Vinnie O’Brien, Vinnie completed his first 5k at the age of 74 years old.

The Men on the Move Project was piloted in 3 areas Laytown/Bettystown, Dunshaughlin and Kiltale in 2014. The project was a huge success with  93 men active on the programme.

Men on the Move will continue with a new 6 week programme in the following areas in September 2016:
