Well done to all 353 girls, teens and women taking part in our 2024 Women in Sport Week events. Activities spanned from Dance to Olympic Handball to Soccer Coaching with girls from 8yrs to women 80yrs getting involved, fantastic to see so many taking part.

New programmes are now starting in many areas, please see below for list of activities available near you.

Socia-Ball for women Socia-Ball is in a basketball initiative for women with the main emphasis on Participation, Fun and Fitness.  In a relaxed, social setting, women have the opportunity to learn the key basketball skills and play in a supportive environment without the pressure of competition.

Social Running 0-3k & 3-5k in Navan, Tara, Trim & Enfield

Six-week 0-3k & 3-5k programmes open to both men and women and suited for complete beginners. These programmes are led by qualified coaches who will guide you step by step from walking to jogging to running with ease. It is available to anyone who wants to increase their daily activity and is suitable for both MEN and WOMEN over 18yrs+ and all fitness levels.

Badminton for Adults – Colaiste na hInse, Bettystown.

Adults(men & women 18+) – Wednesday 6pm

Badminton is a great sport and an ideal way to gain fitness and play socially. This programme is led by qualified Badminton Ireland Coaches and ideal for complete beginners and improvers.  Places are limited, early booking is advised

Women on Wheels – Wednesday 1st May @ 7pm. Would you like to improve your cycling skills – improve their biking skills and techniques?  The 4-week programme includes Bike Maintenance, Bike Safety, Bike Handling Skills and learning to cycle as part of a group. There will also be weekly bike spins between 10k + to increase stamina and bike fitness. Cost is €15 and places are limited so early booking is advised. Bike Maintenance Workshop Navan – Monday 13th May @ 7pm

Meath LSP and once again offering a Bike Maintenance workshop for men and women, this simple M Check Bike Maintenance Workshop could save you time and money. Cost is €5 and includes a puncture repair kit. The workshop concentrates on Gears (front & back), Brakes, Tyres, Puncture Repair, Headset and Cranks.
