To celebrate Women in Sport Week, we caught up with Evelyn Keatinge – a tutor and community coach with Meath LSP!
“Sports has always been a part of my life from my own school days through to adult life. I realised after taking a career break to raise children I didn’t want to return to my old profession so I jumped in at the deep end and applied to do the Community Coaching Training Programme with Meath LSP.
After the initial training I worked as a coach on a variety of activity programmes for children and adults. I love working with people in the community, seeing them thrive through physical activity. I continued my education in physical activity and qualified as a Fitness Instructor.
I now develop and lead my own fitness programmes as well as continuing to tutor and coach a range of initiatives for Meath LSP.
I love my work and I am delighted I took the opportunity to train with Meath LSP, physical activity can change people’s lives and this experience has definitely changed my life for the better”
