Go for Life

Go for Life is the national programme for sport and physical activity for older people. The programme aims to get more older people more active more often. Go for Life aims to challenge stereotypical notions about sedentary lifestyles for older people.

It is intended that leaders will be trained locally through the new network of Local Sports Partnerships – leaders who will in turn promote participation in sport amongst the older people in their communities.

Meath Local Sports Partnership in partnership with the HSE – North East will provide workshops in the following:

  • Basic Principals
  • Sit Fit
  • Better Balance
  • Going Strong
  • Pals Skills
  • Stepping & Strolling
  • Rolling and Bowling – Bocce
