Friends of St Joseph`s in Trim to benefit from cycle tour

One again, the charity Friends of St Joseph`s in Trim will benefit from the An Post Meath Heritage cycle tour.

The Friends of St Josephs charity which is made up of local volunteers, regularly fundraise to enhance the comfort needs of the residents both personally and in their living environment within St Joseph`s in Trim. With the proceeds from this year`s tour, the charity hope to develop an outdoor green area where residents will be able to grow their own vegetables and fruit in addition to raising hens. Hen therapy has been proven to enhance cognitive learning, reduce loneliness and stimulate positive sense of well being.

The efforts of the volunteers help to bring a degree of comfort to the residents of St Joseph`s in Trim which would otherwise not be possible.

Spectators and cyclists alike are asked to support this worthy charity over the weekend of the cycle tour.

The 8th Meath Heritage Cycle tour, part of the An Post Cycle series is organised by Meath Local Sports Partnership in association with the Sport Ireland and An Post.
