DESCRIPTION:New All-Female Training Initiative (FAI PDP1) \nFAI & Meath LSP are introducing a NEW ‘All-Female Soccer Training Initiative’ to help increase and support womens soccer in Meath. The training initiative comprises of \n\nSafeguarding – 3 hours\nPDP 1 (female only) 2.5 hours\nCoaching Teenage Girls Training\nAll new qualified coaches will receive a Coach Training Top\nCost is €25\n\n(Garda Vetting – must be completed through FAI Connect Account) \n\nPDP 1 female only training for all clubs involved in the programme. This comprehensive training initiative is the first step to becoming a qualified soccer coach. DESCRIPTION:Date: Thursday 18th January\nTime:  6.30pm to 10pm\nVenue: MDL grounds\, Trim rd\, Navan \nThe Sports Injuries First Aid Course is aimed at coaches\, mentors\, teachers\, supervisors\, players\, athletes and volunteers. Anyone wishing to be able to deal with minor sports injuries. \nThis course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer First Aid care. Participants will learn practical skills so that they can deal competently with situations that may arise. \nCourse Content \nThis course has an emphasis on dealing with minor Sports Injuries. \n\nScene Management\nBleeding and Wounds\nTreatment for Shock\nHeart Conditions\nFractures\nSprains & Strains\nUnconsciousness & the Recovery Position\n\nOn Successful Completion Course\, participants are issued with a First Aid Certificate of attendance. These social running programmes are now available in  Navan\, Trim\, Tara and Enfield. \nThe 0-3k (Walk to Jog) is suitable for complete beginners and supports those to go from walking to jogging with relative ease.  The structured programme is available for anyone who wants to increase their daily activity and is suitable for people of all ages (18+) and fitness levels. The 3-5k – Jog to Run is ideal for those who would like to improve running fitness and increase their pace & distance. This programme suits those who have already completed a 0-3k or have previous running experience. \nAll coaching sessions are delivered by qualified club coaches who are experienced runners and are on hand to guide and support everyone taking part. DESCRIPTION:Meath Local Sports Partnership offers a 3-hour basic awareness workshop for leaders within sports clubs/organisations. \n\nThe workshop will highlight the main principles of the Code and look at measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment for sport for young people.\nAs well as undertaking child protection training\, all clubs are encouraged to adopt child protection policies and procedures as outlined in the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport.\n\nParticipants attending Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness workshop must be over 18 years of age to attend. \nThe cost of the course is €25 if you are in a club in Meath and €40 if you are in a club outside of Meath. \nTo book your place\, please email mlsp@meathcoco.ie or call 0469067887 to check availability of spaces. \nAs demand for places is high\, please make every effort to give enough notice of cancellation.
