DESCRIPTION:Socia-Ball is the new social basketball programme for women with the main emphasis on participation\, fun and fitness. In a fun and social setting\, women will have the opportunity to learn the key basketball skills and play in a supportive environment without the pressure of competition. The 6-week programme is aimed towards complete beginners and also those who may have previous experience. It is inclusive of all ages and fitness levels and will be delivered by qualified coaches. This is an ideal opportunity to try a new sport or revisit a sport that you previously enjoyed. DESCRIPTION:Meath Local Sports Partnership offers a 3-hour basic awareness workshop for leaders within sports clubs/organisations. \n\nThe workshop will highlight the main principles of the Code and look at measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment for sport for young people.\nAs well as undertaking child protection training\, all clubs are encouraged to adopt child protection policies and procedures as outlined in the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport.\n\nParticipants attending Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness workshop must be over 18 years of age to attend. \nThe cost of the course is €20 if you are in a club in Meath and €30 if you are in a club outside of Meath. \nThis course is now full. To put your name on the cancellation list\, please email lynn.oreilly@meathcoco.ie or call 0469067887 \nAs demand for places is high\, please make every effort to give enough notice of cancellation.
