DESCRIPTION:Date: Thursday 18th January\nTime:  6.30pm to 10pm\nVenue: MDL grounds\, Trim rd\, Navan \nThe Sports Injuries First Aid Course is aimed at coaches\, mentors\, teachers\, supervisors\, players\, athletes and volunteers. Anyone wishing to be able to deal with minor sports injuries. \nThis course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer First Aid care. Participants will learn practical skills so that they can deal competently with situations that may arise. \nCourse Content \nThis course has an emphasis on dealing with minor Sports Injuries. \n\nScene Management\nBleeding and Wounds\nTreatment for Shock\nHeart Conditions\nFractures\nSprains & Strains\nUnconsciousness & the Recovery Position\n\nOn Successful Completion Course\, participants are issued with a First Aid Certificate of attendance. All instructors & examiners hold current certification from the Occupational First Aid Assessment Agent and are listed on their register maintained there on behalf of the Health and Safety Authority. \nThe cost for this course is €35 per person if you are in a club in Meath or €40 if you are in a club outside of Meath. \nTo book a place please call Trish on 0469067887 or email mlsp@meathcoco.ie

DESCRIPTION:Meath Local Sports Partnership offers a 3-hour basic awareness workshop for leaders within sports clubs/organisations. \n\nThe workshop will highlight the main principles of the Code and look at measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment for sport for young people.\nAs well as undertaking child protection training\, all clubs are encouraged to adopt child protection policies and procedures as outlined in the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport.\n\nParticipants attending Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness workshop must be over 18 years of age to attend. \nThe cost of the course is €25 if you are in a club in Meath and €40 if you are in a club outside of Meath. \nTo book your place\, please email mlsp@meathcoco.ie or call 0469067887 to check availability of spaces. \nAs demand for places is high\, please make every effort to give enough notice of cancellation.
