SUMMARY:Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness in Child Protection Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Meath Local Sports Partnership offers a 3-hour basic awareness workshop for leaders within sports clubs/organisations. \n\nThe workshop will highlight the main principles of the Code and look at measures that clubs can take to create and maintain the safest possible environment for sport for young people.\nAs well as undertaking child protection training\, all clubs are encouraged to adopt child protection policies and procedures as outlined in the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport.\n\nParticipants attending Safeguarding 1 Basic Awareness workshop must be over 18 years of age to attend. \nThe cost of the course is €20 if you are in a club in Meath and €30 if you are in a club outside of Meath. \nTo book your place\, please email lynn.oreilly@meathcoco.ie or call 046-9067337 to check availability of spaces. \n\nAs demand for places is high\, please make every effort to give enough notice of cancellation. Please note that there are no refunds if you fail to attend on the night.
