Drogheda Utd FC – Diploma in Business Administration (VTCT level 2)
15 November 2021 @ 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
An exciting new football-based education programme is due to start on Monday 15th November in Drogheda targeted at young people who wish to pursue a career in the sports industry and learn about how football clubs operate. Drogheda United Football Club and the Louth & Meath Education & Training Board (LMETB) have teamed up to deliver a Diploma in Business Administration (VTCT level 2) course, which will use the powerful attraction of football to re-engage unemployed people and early school leavers with mainstream education.
The Diploma in Business Administration is mapped at QQI Level 4 on the National Framework of Qualifications and will feature exclusive football related content designed to give trainees an understanding of the administrative side of running a football club. The course will also feature modules based around Career Planning, IT Skills and Teamworking as well as an opportunity to gain FAI Coaching qualifications (PDP1 and PDP2).
The course is open to all people aged 17-35 from the Louth and Meath areas.
An interest in football would be an advantage but you don’t need to be able to play football to join the course. Course details as follows:
Duration; 15th November 2021 to September 2022.
Days; Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Venue: Barbican Centre, William Street, Drogheda, Co. Louth.
