Basketball Ireland 

Green Shoots skills programme is a weekly programme from Basketball Ireland focusing on key Basketball skills and fitness.

Athletics Ireland have great resources and challenges on their website and YouTube channel which focus on different movements and skills, these not only help with Athletics but all sports.

Football Association of Ireland 

The FAI have launched a series of grassroots FAI Homeskills challenges, they are designed to challenge you in a small space at home to practice and perfect a wide range of soccer skills.

Schoolboys Football Association of Ireland (SFAI):

The SFAI have a 12 day Stay at Home Challenge which comprises of different challenges to try each day. These challenges are fun, easy to replicate at home and focus on key skills of football.

The GAA have released a number of skills challenge videos on their GAA Learning channel, these videos are designed to hone your skills in football & hurling and be able to practice in any environment or space, the skills are delivered by well known inter county players from all over the country.

Handball Home Skills Challenge

Meath GAA

Meath GAA have also released a number of skills challenges to try at home. There are a variety of great challenges to complete to stay active and improve various GAA skills even in small areas.

Card Game Skills Challenge:

100 Touch Challenge

Meath GAA also have a 100 touch challenge,players test themselves to complete all the touches of the ball and hone skills while using both sides of the body.

Ladies Gaelic Football 

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association have released the five day challenge, a number of LGFA skills videos and challenges. This videos not only focus on the skills itself, but also have a great fun element and also incorporate fitness and dance. These skills can also be done easily at home using different resources in the home and garden.

The LGFA are also doing a #showyourskill challenge in association with AIG & 20×20 which aims to inspire young girls to showcase their skills to be in with a chance of winning a big prize, while also promoting Ladies Gaelic Football.

The Irish Rugby Football Union have released a number of children’s Rugby skills challenges on their you tube channel. The skills are called Aviva Minis Rugby Skills, these videos allow families and their children to develop their rugby specific skills as well as agility, balance & co-ordination in a fun way at home even with limited space.

Rugby Relays:

The IRFU also launched a Rugby challenge in association with Aldi, with prizes up for grabs. This will be posted every Thursday – see further details HERE

Leinster Rugby 

Leinster Rugby have created tutorial skills videos as well as challenges that can be practiced from home. These skills videos and challenged have been developed by Leinster rugby coaches and well known male and female players

Swim Ireland have introduced a new children’s resource, the Swim Ireland Covid-19 Time Capsule Pack. This is a swim-themed resource for children which they can fill with memories, colouring and activities.
