FAI National C Licence Course

Actual dates: Thursday 25th, Friday 26th, Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th of July

Requirements National D Licence or equivalent. The participant must have completed 40 hours of grassroots coach education before completing the National D Licence. Coaches should have acummulated the hours through completing any of the grassroots courses (Kick Start 1 & 2), Youth Intro, Adult Intro, and the workshops (PDP, FUTSAL, Fundamentals of GK, Small Sided Games 4v4, 7v7, Strength and Conditioning) The completion of the Safeguarding 1 Workshop and Garda Vetting is also a mandatory entry requirement. All FAI Education should start with a Safeguarding 1 course and all participants must be FAI Garda Vetted. Child Welfare & Garda Vetting Compulsory (5 hrs.) . Kick Start 1/PDP 1 working with 6-9 year olds (8 hrs.). Kick Start 2 / PDP 2 working with 9-12 year olds (16 hrs.). Workshops – 4V4, 7V7, S&C, FUTSAL, GK, PDP, other (3 hrs. each). Adult Intro (24 hrs). Youth Intro (24 hrs). PLEASE NOTE: All participants who have registered will be required to provide proof of completion for ALL previous Coach Education courses or equivalent.
Contents Participants will learn, develop and be: -Capable of Planning, organising and implementing reality based training sessions based on the team’s preferred system of play -Able to create an environment that facilitates a holistic approach to learning -Capable of developing, implementing and evaluating a football specific periodisation plan that is measureable in training cycles throughout the season -Able to work on his/her own development and recognise their own learning needs -Capable of effectively communicating with all the officials involved within football
Goals The National ‘C’ Licence coach will be capable to coach a team during games based on pre-planned objectives to help enhance the development of the team while following their periodisation plan.
Target group Coaches
Note Applicants will be asked to abide by the Code of Ethics/ Conduct in Soccer and the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Sport in Ireland. Applicants also agree to abide by the rules laid down by the Football Association of Ireland and its staff. PLEASE NOTE: Participants who register for the course and do not have the mandatory requirements for the course will not be accetped onto the course. There will 2 extra days for block 2 of this course, these dates will be discussed on day 1 of block 1 and the most suitable dates will be confimred on block one of the course.
